Whitney Johns Martin is a Managing Director of TWV Capital and a co-founder of the Texas Women Ventures family of funds. From the firm’s inception, Whitney has been instrumental in its concept and evolution, its mission and its funds. Whitney’s areas of responsibility include raising capital, business development, deal structure and investor relations. Whitney is a pioneer in the field of private equity for women and brings over three decades of entrepreneurial, legal and business experience. She is an investor in all Texas Women Ventures funds and serves on the Investment Committee.

Whitney has been an investor in women-owned companies since the 1990s, when she launched the first licensed Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) with the mission to invest in women. Over her career, Whitney has served on over a dozen portfolio boards and several outside advisory boards including Wyndham International and Club Corp and was appointed three-time Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Nashville branch.  Much of her service has been associated with women entrepreneurs including appointments to the National Women’s Business Council, elected national President of the National Association for Women Business Owners, and served as a member of the board for the National Foundation for Women Business Owners. Whitney has received numerous awards in recognition for her work promoting access to capital for women, including the 2008 “Most Influential Women in Business in Dallas” from the Dallas Business Journal and the 1998 Southeastern Advocate of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration.Whitney started her career in Nashville, Tennessee practicing law until 1984, when she founded and managed Whitney Johns & Co., a mergers and acquisitions advisory business serving privately-held companies.Whitney received her BS in Business Administration with highest honors from the University of Tennessee and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee’s College of Law.

Gregory O’Shea is a Managing Director of TWV Capital where he is primarily responsible for deal evaluation, due diligence, transaction execution, portfolio monitoring and financial reporting. Greg joined TWV Capital in June 2010 and brings over 15 years of private equity and fund management experience. Greg is an investor in Texas Women Ventures and serves on the Investment Committee.

Greg chairs the Investment Advisory and Due Diligence Committees of TWV Capital. He also chairs the Advisory Board of Rolland Safe & Lock Company, a portfolio company of TWVF II.Prior to joining TWV Capital, Greg served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Aldus Equity, a Dallas-based private equity consultancy, fund-of-funds, and coinvestment funds manager with $6 billion under management.Prior to joining Aldus, Greg was a Senior Associate in the Strategy Group of Ewing Management Group (EMG), a private equity firm focused on operational turnarounds. Prior to EMG, Greg was a Vice President at The Carlyle Group where he was responsible for the fund administration and investor relations activities for over $2.0 billion of capital commitments to the firm’s funds, focused on energy, power, and operational turnarounds. Greg started his career as a Tax Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Washington, D.C. office.Greg received his BBA from The College of William and Mary and received his MBA from Southern Methodist University. Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Lenore “Lennie” M. Sullivan is a Managing Director of TWV Capital where she is primarily responsible for deal evaluation, investor relations and raising capital.  She has served in various advisory roles since the fund’s inception. She joined TWV Capital in July 2010 and brings over three decades of professional experience in financial and asset management, entrepreneurial endeavors, real estate, and advisory services, including 18 years of direct investment experience. Lennie has wide-ranging experience on several investment committees, including the Investment Advisory Committee to the Board of Trustees for the Employees Retirement System of Texas, as well as the Investment Committee to the Board of Trustees of the Austin Community Foundation She currently serves on the Board of Directors of HFF, Inc. (NYSE: HF) and is a past member of the Board of Directors of Parkway Properties, Inc. (NYSE:PKY).Prior to joining the firm, Lennie served as a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners, a billion dollar asset management firm with offices in New York, London and Austin. Lennie’s multi-faceted experience includes Vice President at Hunt Private Equity Group, an Associate Director of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at the University of Texas at Austin, Chief Financial Officer at Canizaro Interests (now, Columbus Properties), President and Founder of Stonegate Advisors (a boutique investment banking firm), Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Wyndham Hotel Company, and Partner of Trammell Crow Company.Lennie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College with a BA in economics and government and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School.
